Christmas Bazaar

Selected as one of HGTV’s Top Ten Christmas Towns – kick off the holiday season and pick up unique crafts at the town’s Christmas Bazaar. Snowmobile raffle, tree lighting, live auction, community play and a visit from Santa!


Fort Mackinac Turtle Trek 1/5, 2/2 & 3/2

A unique lantern-lit cross country ski and snowshoeing event on 2 miles of the island’s immaculately groomed trails. Trail begins at Greaney Grove, located next to Fort Mackinac. Bring your own skis, begins at 5:30 p.m.

Mackinac Island Winter Festival

Join us at Great Turtle Park with a bonfire cookout, sledding, snow golf, archery, snow volleyball, broom hockey and more fun games! A Sunday pancake breakfast at the school brings the community together for a raffle, games and voting for pictures for the Mackinac Island Calendar.

St. Patrick’s Day Weekend

Snow, Fog, Ice…makes for a typical March on Mackinac Island but there will be plenty of Irish Cheer!


The Ice Bridge

When the Straits of Mackinac freeze over, it’s time to pack up your snowmobile and travel to Mackinac Island over the legendary Ice Bridge. Take the trip over and stay the night at the Pontiac Lodge.
