WINTER ON MACKINAC

Our Lodge is opened year round!

Visiting Mackinac Island is a very unique experience in the winter. The snow falls and covers the ground with a white blanket. Cross country skiing, snow-shoeing or even hiking enthusiasts can have a great time exploring the island's trails and the Mackinac Island State Park.

Cross Country Skiing on Mackinac Island

There are magnificent views from all around the Island and some of the most spectacular sunsets on a crystal clear winter evening. St. Ignace and the Mackinac Bridge light up the night sky with the stars shining brightly overhead. There are a lot of small town amenities for a great winter getaway! Ski & snowshoe rental (learn more...), grocery store, and even horse drawn taxis and tours.
